In 2020 an ash tree near the B483 had to be felled because it was overhanging power lines and was a potential danger to traffic. We initially put the large trunk up for sale to earn some cash for the Heritage Area, but it proved to be a bit too awkward to get at and turn it into planks. So, it was decided that we would make some benches to place in the Heritage Area. Over the past few weeks the trunk has been cut in two, moved into position and then turned into seats. The results can be seen below.
