Guided tours around the heritage area are a great way of getting to know the quarries, kilns, tramways and canal.  The guides have a host of accumulated knowledge gained over years of working at and maintaining the Heritage Area.  This includes participating in archaeological digs, completing surveys of the site and digging into the history of the area, so don’t be afraid to ask questions.
