Adult Activities – Bird and Plant Surveys

We are also ready to start our surveys of the birds and plants. This is open to anyone who is interested.  The more volunteers, the better!  It is very simple and only requires you to visit a certain spot in the Heritage area and record the birds for 10 minutes twice a month on your mobile phone and/or the plants in that specific area, at a time of your choice. Then we can compare them with the 1999 survey and see if things have changed. Also, with a better understanding of where the birds are, we can ensure we do our best to provide them with the right habitats in those areas.

It will be interesting and fun, and we will have occasional meet-ups to discuss what we have found

Volunteers are needed to:

• Undertake the bird and flora surveys
• Open up the Stables for people to view the exhibition
• Assist with recording and researching the heritage and nature
• Maintain the site
