General Maintenance and Tidy Up

March 12 @ 9:30 am 3:00 pm

During the winter months volunteers meet to carry out general maintenance around the Heritage Area. We carry out jobs, such as removing dead and dying trees and any branches which might be dangerous, fence repairs and drain clearing. We also cut back areas of overgrowth to allow the local plants to thrive.

Tree Clearing in the Heritage Area

This week we will be widening the path through the field. Over the years the edges of the path have been narrowed as the grass area gradually overgrows it and the bushes at the side have overgrown to such an extent that during the summer months the path becomes unusable. With the help of Shropshire Council we have hired a small digger to help scrape away the overgrown areas. This should hopefully give the path a new lease of life!

Volunteers Are Still Needed

If you have some spare time why not come along and join us to help preserve the Heritage Area for future generations!
