General Maintenance and Tidy Up

During the winter months volunteers meet to carry out general maintenance around the Heritage Area. We carry out jobs, such as removing dead and dying trees and any branches which might be dangerous, fence repairs and drain clearing. We also cut back areas of overgrowth to allow the local plants to thrive
So far we have removed all of the old internal wooden gates, put up 3 new information panels; Gill’s Pool, Black Bridge and The Entrance Sculpture. Added two new benches and repaired the rotten fence posts and railing at Black Bridge.
Lots more work still needs doing, including taking the pathways back to their original width and continuing to open up overgrown areas where the local flora is being stifled.
